Abhyuday Mandal has been recognized for the second time for his superior teaching at UGA. He was one of the five finalists from the Franklin College for an Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award. He was recognized at a Faculty Recognition Banquet organized by the Provost's office on April 16, 2018.

Congratulations to Suchi Goyal

Suchi Goyal received a special scholarship from the University of California, Los Angeles, Department of Statistics, where she was recently admitted into the doctoral program starting Fall 2018. She looks forward to pursuing her PhD in statistics and is particularly interested in the analysis of multidimensional data sets and identification of causational relationships. Congratulations, Suchi!

Dr. Pengsheng Ji Published a Discussion Paper on Statistician Coauthorship and Citation Networks in the Annals of Applied Statistics.

Congratulations to Statistics students Xianyan Chen, Xiaodong Jiang, Jerry Shi, and Yang Song, who are one of five finalist teams in the Capital One Contest. The team members, along with advisor Jaxk Reeves, have been invited to Capital One headquarters, where they, along with the four other finalist teams, will present their analysis. The winner will be determined after the team presentations, April 20-22, 2016.
