Fulbright Recognition with Stat's Own Christine Franklin and the New Zealand Ambassador

As many of you may know, our Undergraduate Coordinator Christine Franklin has been in New Zealand these past couple months. On June 22nd, she attended the Fulbright recognition at the New Zealand Parliament. It was certainly a special night. That Monday she flew to Wellington for the Fulbright award ceremony held at Parliament. She is currently the only U.S. scholar of five still in New Zealand. All nine of her graduate students were able to attend along with a policy Fulbrighter (Ziyad) and her. The Statistics Department is looking forward to her return in 2 weeks. In the photo with Christine and her colleagues are US ambassador Mark Gilbert and his wife. We are so glad our very talented Instructor is having such a great time!
