Assistant Professor Education Ph.D. in Statistical Science, University of California, Santa Cruz, 2022. Research Research Interests: My research focuses on developing statistical and machine learning methods for inference and prediction from complex and dependent data. Methods development is strongly motivated by addressing real-world challenges, particularly in ecological and environmental applications, among others. For example, my research involves developing methods for understanding and predicting Antarctic biodiversity with uncertainty quantification, as part of the Australian Research Council Special Research Initiative, Securing Antarctica's Environmental Future (SAEF). Areas of research I am currently involved in include spatial and spatio-temporal statistics, point process modeling, probabilistic downscaling (from coarse to fine resolution), data integration, transfer learning, and statistical deep learning.
