Dr. Gauri Datta Elected to the Fellowship in the Institute of Mathematical Statistics

The presentation took place at the IMS Presidential Address at the Joint Statistical Meetings in Washington, DC. Congratulations Gauri!

Dr. Steve Marron Announced as the Speaker at the 18th Annual Bradley Lecture

The Department is pleased to welcome Dr. Steve Marron, Amos Hawley Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as our distinguished speaker at the 18th annual Bradley Lecture. The lecture will be held at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education in Meeting Room K on April 2, 2010. More information about this event can be found here.

fMRI Data Analysis Group to Host 2nd Annual Workshop for NOGGINS

The functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) data analysis group at the Department of Statistics , University of Georgia will host the second annual workshop for the Network of Greater Georgia Institutions for Neuroimaging and Statistics (NOGGINS). It will be held Friday April 23, in room Y/Z, at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education, University of Georgia. Researchers from Statistics, Computer Science and Psychology will gather to discuss questions relating to the analysis of functional neuroimaging data. Dr.

John Stufken is the Rothschild Distinguished Visiting Fellow

John Stufken will be the Rothschild Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences in conjunction with the program Design and Analysis of Experiments, which will be held at the Institute from July 18 - December 21, 2011. The appointment as Rothschild Distinguished Visiting Fellow is a one-month appointment at the Institute during the period of the program.
