Kim Love-Myers to take over SCC Associate Director position

Dr. Kim Love-Myers is replacing Dr. Chen as Associate Director of the Statistical Consulting Center. Kim comes to us from the Warnell School of Forestry, and she brings with her significant consulting experience along with an outstanding vision for consulting center operations. We look forward to a cordial and mutually-productive working relationship. Welcome Kim!

fMRI Data Analysis Group to Host 2nd Annual Workshop for NOGGINS

The functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) data analysis group at the Department of Statistics , University of Georgia will host the second annual workshop for the Network of Greater Georgia Institutions for Neuroimaging and Statistics (NOGGINS). It will be held Friday April 23, in room Y/Z, at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education, University of Georgia. Researchers from Statistics, Computer Science and Psychology will gather to discuss questions relating to the analysis of functional neuroimaging data. Dr. Martin Lindquist(Columbia University) is a keynote speaker and National Institute of Statistical Sciences (NISS)is a co-sponsor of this event.

Congratulations to Andrew Brown, Christy Jenkins, and David Nelson for receiving this year's Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from the University. This award means that their teaching performance ranks in the top 10% of all TAs at the University! They will be recognized during the Honors Day program at 2:00 pm on April 7, 2010.
