Image: Receiving the most prestigious fellowship award available from UGA for incoming doctoral students, Yutong completed her B.S. in Data Science and Technology (Extended Major in Artificial Intelligence) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). At the time when she applied to our doctoral program, as an undergraduate student, she already had a peer-reviewed research article titled "Predicting PROTAC Off-Target Effects via Warhead Involvement in Drug–Target Interactions Using Graph Attention-Based Neural Networks" published in the Computational and Structural Biotechnology Journal, where she served as the first author. In addition, she has another research article in the pipeline titled "Causal Inference under Network Interference Using Meta Learner", where she also served as the first author. Although it is not uncommon for undergraduate students to have some research experience with writing samples, it is extremely rare in the field of statistics to have a first-authored peer-reviewed article in a journal of this level at this stage. Please join us to congratulate Yutong for receiving such a prestigious award from the University of Georgia! Type of News/Audience: Departmental
