Image: Congratulations to Dr. Prince Allotey for being selected to participate in the 2026-27 Early Career Fellows Program of the UGA Teaching Academy. The mission of this program is to promote excellence in classroom instruction by mentoring early-career faculty. Each summer, 15-20 early-career (1-3 years) faculty are selected as Teaching Academy Early Career Fellows (TAECF) for the upcoming academic year. Teams of four or five fellows work closely with award-winning senior Teaching Academy faculty mentors throughout the year. The program gives fellows an opportunity to reflect on their teaching and build their instructional toolkits at an early point in their careers; it also helps them build bridges across campus, mentor their peers, be mentored by senior faculty, and network with award-winning educators at UGA. Dr. Allotey has already established an outstanding teaching record, both at UGA and in his previous appointments at other universities. Selection as a TAECF is an honor and a great opportunity for Dr. Allotey to continue to grow as an instructor and to add value to the instructional mission of the department and the larger university. Congratulations, Prince!
