Sriram & Iaci Awarded Abraham Wald Prize in Sequential Analysis

It may be summer in Athens, but our Statistics faculty and students are still hard at work! Congratulations to Professor T.N. Sriram and our former Ph.D. student Ross Iaci on being awarded the 2015 Abraham Wald Prize in Sequential Analysis. Sriram and Iaci's paper "Sequential Estimation for Time Series Models" was unanimously voted the best published paper among all papers published in the preimer international journal Sequential Analysis in 2014. Editor-in Chief, Nitis Mukhopadhyay, professed the paper as "a superb contribution that synthesized a whole class of problems in the light of time series data modeling and analyses." After being reviewed by an international selection committee, the joint paper was singled out to receive the Abraham Wald Prize in Sequential Analysis, which is undoubtedly one of the top awards in the field. Previous honorees of this award have been selected from top universities all over the globe, and we are thrilled to have Dr. Sriram and Ross Iaci's names added to that list. Congratulations, and go Dawgs!
