Christine Franklin Recipient of a 2014-2015 Fulbright U.S. Scholar Grant to New Zealand

The primary purpose of the Fulbright Program is “to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of the more than 150 countries that currently participate in the Fulbright Program.”  Approximately 800 U.S. Scholar Program grants are provided to U.S. faculty.  Fulbright alumni have moved on to attain notable distinctions throughout the United States.  Through this grant, Christine will work with faculty at The University of Auckland in Auckland, New Zealand from February to June of 2015 and looks forward to bringing back “knowledge to further promote K-12 Statistics in the U.S. and internationally.”  The department wishes Chris our profound congratulations and we look forward to hearing more about her accomplishments through the Fulbright Program upon her return!
